from the drawing board

My little lace piece from today at the drawing board.  I did this work after several trials, working white on white. The original looks really pretty, photographing it is another matter.

ahhh yes the eternal drama of trying to photograph high key low contrast work! I'd love to see this in the flesh - as I'm sure its gorgeous

Thanks for the lovely comments gals. Is there a special knack to photographing this sort ot work Ronnie/Fi? Sunny day, vertical work capturing the shadow do you think?

Hi G - I have tried late afternoon sun to get some of the shadows up and agree, I think vertical might give you slightly more hope; but I am no expert for sure!

Thanks Fiona. I am working on another large work using the same technique for exhibition here in Tassie and selection for entry is by digital photograph. What I think I will do is do my best with the photography and if I am not 100% happy with the outcomes I'll include a bookmark sized sample with the entry form.
