So, in relation to my previous post, there I was, basking in the glow that being a “clever elder” apparently entails, proudly announcing to the world my near-saintly devotion to the implementation of a new Wi-Fi system… and its triumphant success.
Alas. That assessment proved to be… premature.
While casually checking one of our solar systems (
) apps on my phone, I noticed that one of them was suspiciously silent ie. not reporting any of that glorious energy we were supposedly harvesting. Oh brother. Deep breathing exercises resumed immediately.
It transpires that the "inverter" must be connected to a Wi-Fi network entirely of its own, which then — and only then — links into our new Wi-Fi system. I ask you. Wrap your head around that. Apparently this was established two years ago when we first set it up, though I have absolutely no recollection of such technological gymnastics.
Without boring you all to unfathomable depths, I will simply say that I did eventually deduce precisely what needed to be done. This followed many failed attempts (I did not lose my temper, but I did whisper several things unfit for human ears), a weekend away of artistic endeavours, a small miracle, two further failures… and then…
It worked.
Then it didn’t work.
It didn’t work again - so I screamed at it "make up your mind"!!!!!
It listened! And now it works ... and still works.
Thank you all and good night!
