My goodness 2018 seems to have moved on so rapidly and I have rolled along with it. My recent trip to the UK and Sweden was so wonderful, I worked hard, met many many lovely people who looked after me.  I enjoyed my time learning, sharing, giving and receiving and travelling with Pam for most of the time. How grateful I am for this opportunity. The only sad this is that my partner could not travel with me to enjoy meeting all these moments too.  Shortly I'll post some of my favourite moments. Here is one on my very last day in the UK on a revisit to Windsor Castle where I studied at the Royal Archive on my Churchill Fellowship. Watch this space ...

Currently I am enjoying a trip around the English countryside with my friend Pam. We are attending the CLAS Festival of Calligraphy and enjoying the camaraderie with fellow travelers and scribes. It is really lovely to take a car around enjoying little villages and pubs along the way instead of battling the public transport system which at times can be somewhat disastrous.  How fortunate we are. At our digs, The Old Manor Stables, Letcombe Regis.

It was the Cnut Charter Hand I took to Buderim, QLD in April this year. A thoroughly enjoyable couple of days with the Craft Cottage Calligraphers. Eadvius Basan, scribe of Christ Church, Canterbury between 1012-1023, was well known for being the major scribe of the Arundel Psalter BL Ms. 115. Also for his work on at least one Charter of King Cnut, Ms.1003 as well as a number of others major works.
